A free weekly email for Twin Cities parents

Find your teen something worth doing — without the 11 open tabs.

Teen Twin Cities is a free newsletter for parents of 13–18-year-olds. Every Friday, get the best local camps, jobs, volunteer gigs, classes, internships and events, with the dates, details and deadlines you need.

New this year — be one of the first parents on the list.

What's in Friday's email

Six kinds of good ideas

Every issue pulls from all of these. If it's happening in the metro and it's worth your teen's time, it's in here.

  • Camps

Day camps, sleepaway camps, and the weird specialty ones that fill up fast.

  • Jobs

Places actually hiring teenagers — first jobs, summer shifts, seasonal gigs.

  • Volunteering

Service hours that don't involve you making a single phone call.

  • Classes & sports

Art, coding, music, climbing, leagues, clinics — one-offs and full seasons.

  • Internships

Real résumé experience for high schoolers, not coffee runs.

  • Events

Festivals, workshops, and one-day things worth rearranging a Saturday for.

A peek inside

Here's what a Friday looks like

Short, skimmable, and sorted by type. Five minutes with your coffee and you know what's worth signing up for.

The honest pitch

Why parents actually stay subscribed

  • It's free

No cost, no trial that ends, no upsell.

  • It's once a week

Fridays — so you can sort the weekend and the week ahead in one sitting.

  • It's only the metro

Minneapolis, St. Paul, and the suburbs. Nothing you can't get to.

  • It's easy to quit

One tap to unsubscribe. No guilt trip, no five-page survey.

Good questions

Before you sign up

Is it really free?

Yes. No paid tier, no "premium" version. If that ever changes, you'll hear about it well before it does.

How often will you email me?

Once a week, Friday morning. That's it — no "special announcements" filling up your inbox in between.

What ages is this for?

Parents of teens roughly 13 to 18. Plenty of listings also suit a mature 12-year-old or a college-bound 18-year-old.

Which areas do you cover?

The Twin Cities metro — Minneapolis, St. Paul, and the surrounding suburbs.

Who's behind it?

I'm Michelle — a lifelong Minnesotan and a teen mom (not the MTV kind). I've always been a little envious of the parents who have it all together: the ones with a spreadsheet of camps and dates who always know what's happening and when. I am not that mom. Teen Twin Cities started when I went looking for tennis lessons for my daughter — ten websites, a few texts to friends, a couple of deadlines already missed, and an hour of my life gone. There had to be a better way to find what's out there and stay on top of it.

Can I suggest something for the newsletter?

Please do — just reply to any issue. Tips from local parents are usually the best ones.

One email. Every Friday. Your teen's calendar, handled.
